ROLE SUMMARY: We are seeking a Unix System/Developer who has a broad technical background and can work as part of a dynamic and fast-moving team. Work will include writing scripts and programs, installing and configuring software, analyzing performance characteristics of software packages, evaluating new technologies, etc.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Strong communication skills
* Strong Unix skills
* Understanding of TCP/IP networking
* C, Unix, Perl
* Self-starter

PLUS:
* Demonstrated broad understanding of web-site and applications architecture
* Experience as a Unix System Administrator
* Experience as a Unix System Programmer
* Java or C++ development experience
* Conceptual understanding of system performance
* Understanding of computer security
* Database administration or development (Sybase, DB2/UDB)

DAILY ACTIVITIES OF NEW EMPLOYEE:
* Writing tools to assist in deployment, monitoring, instrumentation, and fault finding for applications
* Analysis, design, and gathering of user requirements
* Installation/configuration of software (e.g.Web Logic, LDAP, iPlanet)
* Fault finding/performance analysis/performance tuning
* Production support
